To the Proud Bird Restaurant, My name is Darlene Baez and I'm an Administrative assistant for a Manager at Northrop Grumman on One Hornet Way, I arranged a Retirement Party at the Proud Bird, event was Tuesday, 07 December 2004, the Service was great, the food was OUTSTANDING. But I was extremely disappointed in the fact that we had to commit in the Banquet Room (RED BARRON) for 40 people and unfortuntely 12 of the 40 people meetings came up or personal things the 12 employees just could not make the retirement party. I think that it was such a shame that this happened. My Manager had to pay $300.00 out of his own pocket becuase of these employees. In life there is no guarantee and I feel that The Proud Bird should give some courtesy on this. I have spoken to so many people here at Northrop whom cannot believe this has happened. So so many Northrop people have Retirement Parties, Birthday Parties and Christmas Parties. With knowing this many people will not be planning their gathering at the Proud Bird. I'm so sorry to be sending this comment to you, I just so do not feel that my Manager should have had to pay $300.00 dollars and I feel that there should be some courtesy in this matter because so many Northrop Grumman employees have gatherings at the Proud Bird.
